Fiscally sound fun for 3rd to 8th graders, REVISED AND UPDATED for 2018!

We start with the story of The Grasshopper and The Ant, the former a spendthrift who thought it'd be summer forever, and the latter the industrious worker and saver. Winter comes, and the Grasshopper learns a hard, cold lesson.

But Wait! Let's go back and try to rewrite the ending, by teaching the Grasshopper everything he needs to know about how to survive, by working smarter, saving more, spending wisely, and investing the rest. We'll cover supply and demand, how currency, banks and markets work, career and college choices, the difference between 'assets' and 'things', and how anyone can make themselves into sturdy financial "ants" rather than hapless "grasshoppers."
